Construction and installation of 1.200m2 of double-glazed insulating glass panels in conventional frames 2023
The Ellinikon Care Center for People with Disabilities, is a social care building complex with a total area of 11.500m2, serving as a model for its facilities across Europe and certified with LEED Gold.
It is the first project developed within the grand redevelopment of the Ellinikon area, housing four associations for children and adults with disabilities. This architectural model sets a European standard for Disability Care Centers and was recognized in Greece as the Project of the Year for 2023, receiving an award during the ITC 2024 – 7th Infrastructure and Transport Conference.
The main focus of the design, beyond providing functionally appropriate spaces, was to create a pleasant and bright environment that offers users a sense of safety.
VASGLASS contributed to this by manufacturing and installing 1.200m2 of double-glazed insulating glass panels with energy coatings by Saint Gobain Glass, fitted into conventional frames by Alumil.
