“Ark of National Memory”: Unveiling of the Monument at the Pentagon

With great honor, VASGLASS contributed to the creation of an iconic monument, the “Ark of National Memory.”
The unveiling ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 26, in the presence of guests from the leadership of the Armed Forces and institutional representatives, in the surrounding area of the Pentagon.
The project, created by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Professor Kostas Varotsos, is dedicated to those who have fallen for their country and bears the engraved names of the heroes. The monumental composition is framed by two groves of 25 and 28 olive trees, symbolizing two pivotal moments in Greek history: March 25, 1821, and October 28, 1940.
Special thanks are extended to Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, General Army Inspector, and Brigadier General Dimitrios Kourkoulakos, Director of Infrastructure and Environment at the Hellenic Army General Staff, for their honor and exemplary cooperation.
VASGLASS contributed to the project by producing jumbo-sized glass panels utilizing digital printing technology. Despite the challenges of the limited production time, the final result justifies the efforts of all contributors.
